Hi in this post i'll talk to you about Margaret Mead...
Margaret was an american cultural anthropologyst, she was born at philadelphia in 1901 and died in 1978 at New York city. She received her doctorate of the Columbia University and worked at the natural history american museum as ethnography director.
Her most important works are her ethnographic investigations, (Sex and Temperament in Three Primitive Societies) ,she was a precursor in the use of the concept "gender".
Also she studied and investigated mainly adolescent girls on the island of Ta'u in Samoa(Coming of age in samoa).

I admire her because she questioned the sexist biologist vision that preponderated at EEUU in those years, with this revolucionary idea she made a great contribution to the feminists studies.

I admire Margaret Mead too. She is like the only woman that we have studied at the University. Also, her contribution to the anthropology is very importante, like you said, her investigations in sexuality and gender.
